Carrie
Carrie discovered her passion for dog grooming in 2011 after rescuing her first Newfoundland, Miss Riley, and developing a love for maintaining her beautiful, long coat. Inspired by this experience—and later by the rescue of her second Newfoundland, Parker—she enrolled in the Merryfield School of Grooming, graduating in 2017. Her talent quickly shone through when she took First Place in the Career Start category at her very first grooming competition, launching a fulfilling six-year career.
Committed to excellence, Carrie attends the Orlando grooming show annually, where she continues to expand her knowledge through hands-on education and industry workshops. She takes great pride in delivering high-quality grooming and is dedicated to creating a calm, positive experience for every dog in her care.
Outside of The Grateful Dog, Carrie loves spending time with family and friends, enhancing her photography skills, and exploring new places.

Jessica
Jessica brings over two decades of experience in the animal care industry and has been a passionate professional groomer since 2010. A proud graduate of the Merryfield School of Grooming, she is certified in pet first aid and CPR and holds the prestigious Master Groomer title from the National Dog Groomers Association of America (NDGAA). As the lead instructor at Merryfield, Jessica finds great joy in mentoring aspiring groomers and sharing her deep knowledge of the craft.
From 2011 to 2014, she competed at the national level, earning a notable 3rd place in the Terrier Group. Her background as a veterinary technician and assistant dog trainer provides her with a well-rounded skill set, especially in working with puppies and dogs with behavioral challenges. Jessica is highly skilled in grooming all breeds, with an expert understanding of coat types and common skin conditions.
Outside of work, she enjoys relaxing at home with her four beloved dogs, hunting for unique Halloween decorations, and spending time with her husband and close friends. Among her favorite breeds are the Chinese Crested, Poodle, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Stephanie
Stephanie is a passionate pet stylist with over four years of hands-on grooming experience, specializing in one-on-one, low-stress sessions. She has developed a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of each dog’s individual needs, always prioritizing comfort, safety, and trust throughout the grooming process.
She is especially known for her creative grooming, including coat coloring and custom styling, as well as her love for Asian Fusion techniques that bring out each dog’s personality in a soft, stylish way. Stephanie believes grooming should enhance not only appearance, but overall well-being—guided by her philosophy of “humanity over vanity.”
Her approach centers on quality over quantity, allowing each pet the time and patience they deserve. Whether it’s a full transformation or a simple refresh, Stephanie is dedicated to ensuring every dog feels comfortable, cared for, and confident.
